Lives and works in Paris. Olivier Ratsi is a French visual artist whose work is mainly based upon representations of space's perception and the experience of reality. He has developed a creative process based on the deconstruction of space and time. Deconstruction or fragmentation act mainly as an emotion trigger, which does not aim at showing what things could be, but more at questioning their references. Its aim is to generate a break from the meaning of the original items, to propose a new viewing point and provide the public with a new field of experience, a different way of looking at space and time. Olivier's work takes shape through different medium: photography, digital painting, video, installation and performance, which allows him to present a creative process each time in different ways. Olivier Ratsi co-founded Antivj in 2007, a “visual label” specialized in exploring different formats of immersive experiences primarily through the medium of light, including site specific architectural projection installation, temporary and permanent installations, and performance.
