«Making art is like cooking, laying the table, placing some objects, and then going away, leaving the door open. One’s wish is that somebody will wind up in there, in this « home », and they will find something to eat ». Eric Vernhes
Interior.
A piano, a pendulum, a screen, a video projection. A piano key imparts the rhythm. A few mnestic images, a few words, some noise. No human presence. Suddenly, the objects break into a choreographed dance. A melody fills the space, the piano comes to life, and the video projection jerks into an infinite motion.
A mechanical piano ! Are these images born of its music ? Or is music their product ? A score, writing, signs… A tale unfolds. Open, punctuated by intense, lyric moments, breaks, staccatos… silences.
The viewers’ senses are guided by an invisible thread - from hearing to vision and vice versa. Caught in this phantasmagorical narration, they are invited to find their place in it.
