Nombre d'Ombre
Solo Show of Anne-Sarah Le Mur

Anne-Sarah Le Meur, a major figure in French digital art, presents a new series of lenticular works at Galerie Charlot from January 31 to April 11, marking a decisive step in her ongoing research on color, light, and movement.

Known for her abstract, code-generated environments, the artist continues her sensitive exploration of chromatic variations by introducing a new material and vibratory dimension. These lenticular pieces, whose surfaces react to the viewer's movements, extend her work on perception while granting it a previously unseen physical presence.

The lenticular series exhibited at Galerie Charlot introduces a subtle, almost atmospheric materiality. The fragmented surface acts like a prism: depending on how the body moves, colors emerge, shift, vanish. Hues expand, layer, and sometimes even contradict one another. This constant mobility reflects the artist’s ongoing interest in unstable perception and light as a living entity. The work is never fully revealed; it unfolds in layers, in intimate response to the viewer’s gestures.

This exhibition thus marks a significant evolution in Anne-Sarah Le Meur’s practice: a shift from digital immateriality to physical presence, from generated light to refractive matter, from virtual space to the tangible density of the medium. By integrating the viewer’s movement as an active component of the composition, the artist offers a renewed perceptual experience—where color becomes an event, a horizon in perpetual transformation.
